Also known as the Dragon Man, Mel Bernstein is a 1960's child that knows the meaning of hard work, tragedy, big guns, and having fun. He has experienced a lifetime of ups and downs, but one thing has stayed the same, work hard and be your own boss. The Vietnam Veteran now boasts one of, if not the largest private military collection in the United States. He has tanks, landmines, hundreds of M1 Garands, grenades, all varieties of machine guns, specialized vehicles, and an entire section devoted to extremely rare Nazi memorabilia. Check it out: His complex and collection is on roughly 200 acres in Colorado Springs, CO, and is out by itself, as it needs to be, seen here: Dragon Man started his collection after being drafted in the Vietnam War effort and getting a taste of the big guns, and learning the value of hard work working multiple jobs so he could buy the things he wanted. And he did.
But tragedy struck, and took his wife from him. This would take the will out of many men, but the Dragon Man has persevered with the help of his daughters. Today, he runs a gun shop, multiple shooting ranges, tours, and anything else he wants to do on his land. You can read a bit more in depth about the death of his wife and how he almost became super famous, here at the Gazette: Check out his website for a rundown of antics, and schedule a tour while you're at it http://www.dragonmans.com/
