More than 8 liters, V10 at redline, manual transmission, rear wheel drive, 200 mph. In a road legal car. Need we say more? Oh yea, the car that made racing stripes famous in America. The Dodge Viper has been loved, hated, cancelled, brought back from the dead,, for going on 20 years now. She is out of production now, but a group of enthusiasts (read: no factory backing) wanted to make sure everyone remembered this beast as one of the fastest, most brutal cars that there has ever been. So they went to tackle the Nurburgring, the Green Hell. After a series of setbacks that included bad weather, driver changes, dwindling track time, mechanical issues, oh, and a huge crunch due to a blown tire while flat out.....they set a 7:01 and 3 tenths. 11 seconds off the 2011 record breaking Viper run. Hats off to this Doc crew, they nailed it.
