Earlier we posted about 'All Them Witches', an American grunge/rock band from Nashville TN.
They've been around sine 2012ish, and have a number of studio albums, but more importantly, they have a few live albums.
One of those is "At The Garage" from 2015. The Garage was a former welding shop turned happening music scene.
This is important because The Garage is no more. It closed December 31 2017, after being the main hub in Winston Salem, North Carolina for local acts, and some larger touring acts, for 17 years. The last show was by the group "The Genuine", whom I've personally never heard of.
Anyway, even though I never made it to a show there, I had heard of it, and it brings back memories of other dimly lit, possibly cramped, smoke filled local music halls where up and coming local artists would hone their craft. It's awesome to see acts that now sell 10000 tickets each night perform in front of 50 adoring fans. I've had that pleasure a number of times, but sadly the local privately owned venues are being pushed out int he name of progress.
Anyway, sit back, close your eyes, and remember those days.
Could tell you, but you know how the saying goes
